St Peter Cares is a Minnesota non-profit organization established to assist in the provision of basic resources to Americans displaced by natural disaster. Working community to community, St. Peter Cares serves as an adjunct to other governmental and nongovernmental recovery efforts by making direct contact with community leaders in the stricken area of the country to meet their specific recovery needs. St. Peter Cares has adopted Concordia Parish (County) in Louisiana. Concordia Parish (County) while not in the direct path of Hurricane Katrina has taken in many evacuees and has found its resources depleted in the recovery efforts. By Community Leaders in St. Peter making contact with their counterparts in Concordia Parish (County), St. Peter Cares knows they will be meeting Concordia Parish's specific recovery needs.
Concordia Parish (County)There are four incorporated communities in Concordia Parish (County) Vidalia, Clayton, Ferriday and Ridgecrest. Vidalia is the County Seat of Concordia Parish (County).
